Butane Price Sees Slight Increase Amidst Changes in Acquisition Cost

The gallon price for butane saw a slight increase of ten cents yesterday.  The announcement came through the Supplies Control Unit in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise indicating that the increase is attributed to a change in the acquisition price of both propane and butane. The import wholesale price everywhere is now $3.95 per gallon. The retail price in the villages is $1.29 per pound and $5.65 per gallon. In the cities and towns, the retail price is 1.27 per pound and $5.55 per gallon.
