Commissioner of Police Orders Investigation into Underground Gun License Sales

The Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, has ordered an investigation into a cop who is allegedly connected to the underground sale of gun licenses. The investigation was launched after reports of the under the table deals within the department were made by a woman named Marybeth Wade. The woman claimed that she was able obtain a firearm license whilst having a criminal record through the assistance of a cop. Wade’s license, however, was revoked some months after, but she has said publicly, that she had assisted five others in obtaining their licenses. Commissioner Williams has since stated that Wade’s application was placed on his desk and vetted by a cop, who later denied carrying out that vetting. He told the media today that he has since identified the officer that conducted the vetting and is now taking swift action against him.
