Deadly Midnight Shooting in Belize City Leaves One Dead, Three Injured

Four men were ambushed last night by gunmen on a motorcycle in Belize City. Just after midnight, a white Ford Fusion sedan, driven by 21-year-old, Floyd McFadzean was headed towards the Pound Yard Bridge when two persons on a motorcycle drove up next to the car.  Gunshots were unleashed, hitting McFadzean and his three passengers, namely 21-year-old, Troy Gentle of Linda’s Alley; 20-year-old, Deon Gladden of West Street and one Jaheem Bent.  McFadzean was fatally injured while the other three men survived varying degrees of gunshot injuries.  Love News understands that Bent was able to leave the scene but collapsed in the area of Tigris Street where he was found bleeding profusely.  All three were taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment with one of them already discharged.  Information to Love News says that McFadzean was near the junction with Roger’s Stadium when they came under attack. He managed to drive the car further up Cemetery Road but eventually crashed at the corner of Johnson Street.  He was pronounced dead at three o’clock this morning.
