Man shoots his brother in Yo Creek Village

A separate act of gun violence in Yo Creek Village on Saturday night resulted in a man being shot by his brother during a family dispute. According to police, 26-year-old Franklin Blanco and his brother, 53-year-old Fermin Blanco, were at home when they got into an altercation that led to  Franklin advancing toward Fermin with a machete. The older Blanco then took out his licensed firearm and shot his brother in the leg. Franklin Blanco was then transported to the Northern Regional Hospital where he remains in stable condition. And, the older Blanco’s firearm was confiscated by police as an exhibit; their investigations continue.
