Minister Musa say the Speaker is fair

However, the accepted wisdom is that the disruptions and the hurly-burly in the House are par for the course. At the same time, there have been calls for the Speakers to be chosen from a pool of people who are not connected to any of the major political parties. Minister Kareem Musa was asked about that today, and he said despite the criticisms of partisanship, the current House Speaker, Valerie Woods, and her predecessor, Laura Tucker-Longsworth, have been very fair.
