MOHW Launches Investigation into Reports of Ill-Treatment at the Independence Polyclinic

The Director of Public Health and Wellness in the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Dr. Melissa Diaz-Musa says that they have already launched an investigation into this matter. 

Dr.Melissa Diaz-Musa, Director of Public Health and Wellness: “I am aware of the situation and the other director Dr.Polanco is also aware. We have sent out a request for it to be investigated and we’re waiting on the reports with regard to what really transpired and what were the messages that were given to the family and all the information but it’s something that is currently being investigated and I don’t really like to talk about especially in order to protect the patient and confidentiality as well it’s really difficult for us to say much on the air with regard to this case but just to know that yes we are investigating what happened in that incident.”
