National Student Union of Belize Opens Elections for New Executive Leadership

The National Student Union of Belize is inviting young Belizean students to vie for positions within its executive body. The union’s current leadership team’s term has come to an end and the union is gearing up to hold elections. The union serves as the oversight body for student affairs within tertiary institutions and works with the National Trade Union Congress of Belize. Outgoing President Ashley Longford spoke to us about the process of electing a new executive.

Longford went on to explain that there is a criterion that students must meet in order to qualify for any of the vacant posts.

The union says it is also inviting students to become members of the organization.
