Police Identify Suspects in Hattieville Farmer Double Homicide

Police are on the hunt for two men they believe brutally murdered Hattieville farmer, Joel Andrews and his workman. The men were found shot and chopped to death in a pond on Andrew’s farm one week ago. Investigators say the motive behind the murders was a robbery and believe the perpetrators are men from the community. Yesterday, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams explained that the police have been able to identify two suspects in the double homicide.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police: “Certainly from what the investigators uncovered on the scene it would appear that the motive may have been robbery. We have also discussed with certain people who may be privy to some information prior to that double murder and again from what we’re getting from them robbery was certainly the motive. At this time we are looking for two individuals. We have not been able to locate them but we believe that they can assist our investigation. One of those persons I think is Blake Lewis, I can’t remember the name other person right now but I know he goes by the nickname Oats but those are the two persons that we are looking for that we believe can assist us with that investigation.”

Andrews’ workman had just returned to work the day before he was killed.
