An audit conducted by Pariente and her staff revealed that the thefts had been occurring on multiple occasions between January and June 2025. The method involved creating false entries for customer returns and subsequently taking cash from the register, totaling over six thousand dollars.  Police have recorded a statement and obtained surveillance footage along with other supporting documents as part of their investigation.
