The members of the Integrity Commissioner have been sworn in by Dame Froyla Tzalam, Governor General of Belize. In accordance with Section 3(2) and (1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act of the Belize Constitution and the Prevention of Corruption Act Chapter 105 of the Laws of Belize, the chairperson and members of the commission were officially sworn in. The Chairperson of the commission is Andrea McSweaney McKoy and the members include George Swift, Zӧe Roberson-Zetina, Ricardo Moguel, Katherine Meighan, Payal Ghanwani, and Jaraad Ysaguirre. The commission will be tasked to examine declarations of physical assets and financial positions filed by public officers and is also able to investigate allegations of corruption made against those public officers. The motion for their appointment was passed in the National Assembly on May 20, 2022. The members will serve in this capacity for a period of two years.
