U.S. Embassy Staff Share Breast Cancer Survival Stories

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end, the U.S. Embassy in Belize is continuing to encourage awareness through the stories of two of its own staff members. U.S. Ambassador Andre Bauer recently sat down with the colleagues, who spoke openly about their experiences with breast cancer and the journey they faced from diagnosis through recovery. The Embassy says their stories are a reminder of the importance of early detection, regular screenings and having a strong support system. It is also encouraging Belizeans to continue the conversation about breast cancer, support those living with the disease and remember the survivors whose experiences continue to inspire others. The message is that while Breast Cancer Awareness Month may be ending, the importance of awareness and early detection should continue throughout the year.
