US Ambassador Raves About Belize’s Diversity and Biodiversity

US Ambassador to Belize, Michelle Kwan has given positive reviews on Belize via an international program.  The ambassador was featured on the Shondaland series, Head Turners, where she described it as being, ‘surreal’.  She stated, quote, “I’ve been so impressed by the diversity. It has a large youth population, and it has a long tradition of democracy and respect for different cultures. There’s an extraordinary amount of biodiversity that can be found here, from the marine to terrestrial ecosystems, and its forests and mangroves, which play a huge part in combating climate change here.” End of quote.  The producers at Shondaland have created television series like Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder.  Ambassador Kwan has been in Belize since December 1, 2022 as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the United States to Belize.  She is the first Asian/American US ambassador to Belize
