28-Year-Old Dies in Motorcycle Accident Near San Felipe Village

A resident of the Orange Walk District also lost his life in a road traffic incident this weekend. On Saturday night, 28-year-old Elias Cowo was heading to his home in San Felipe Village when he lost control of the motorcycle he was on. He then fell to the pavement on the San Antonio Road, where he sustained several injuries. He was then taken to the Northern Regional Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto provided additional details.

ACP Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division: “Police visited the area where they saw the lifeless body of Elias Cowo. Beside him there was a motorcycle with extensive damages. Investigation revealed that Elias Cowo was driving his motorcycle when he lost control and fell to the street causing his fatal injuries.”

Cowo was a construction worker.
