Double Shooting in Belize City: Victims Uncooperative as Police Seek Suspect

Two people were shot in Belize City just before midnight last night. The victims, 27-year-old, Sherick Mcdonald and 35-year-old, Ashanty Pateman, were shot as they drove on Maskall Street in a red Range Rover.  Police say the duo along with 41-year-old, Shanda Conorqui were targeted by a lone gunman who stood on the street and opened fire in their direction. McDonald and Pateman were transported to the hospital, Conorquie escaped unhurt, while the assailant made good his escape. Police canvassed the area and found more than a dozen nine-millimeter expended shells.  Love News understands that they are seeking one man in connection to the incident. We further understand that the victims, McDonald and Pateman, are not cooperating with investigators.  Interestingly, the shooting comes on the heels of the Police Commissioner conducting a meet and greet in the area, last week.
