UDP Councilor Candidate Leslie Zelaya Highlights Business Development Initiatives

On the road to the municipal elections, we’ve featured stories on several candidates vying for office. Tonight, we highlight Belmopan businessman turned councilor candidate Leslie Zelaya, who is running under the United Democratic Party slate. Zelaya, who is known in his community for his business “Z’s Mad Munchies” says that he entered the political arena with the hopes of developing the business environment so that new entrepreneurs would not have to endure some of the frustrations he had when starting out. He also spoke on some of the initiatives that the mayoral candidate and her team will be making special efforts to address.

Zelaya added that, if his team is victorious, that the area representative for Belmopan will put aside political differences and work with the council for the good of the city residents.
