DOE Begins Enforcement of 2022 Plastic Ban with Nationwide Inspections

The Department of the Environment (DOE) will commence country-wide inspections as part of its enforcement of the 2022 Environmental Protection (Pollution from Plastic) Regulations. This morning, the DOE issued a release reminding the public that it is an offense to possess single-use plastic products that don’t meet Belize’s biodegradable standards.
