Prime Minister Briceno Returns Early to Address Tropical Storm Sara Preparations

Prime Minister John Briceno is back home, and has begun to work closely with emergency officials as the country braces for Tropical Storm Sara.  Briceno left the country on Wednesday to attend a Board of Directors meeting for COCESNA, and was scheduled to return home on Sunday.  He returned home earlier today, however, and was briefed by NEMO on the weather situation after which he prerecorded a message for residents across the country.  Prime Minister issued assurances, saying that the government stands ready to activate recovery mode once the storm passes.  As a special advisory to farmers, Briceno noted that they should monitor the weather reports closely and be prepared to implement emergency plans if necessary.
