Santa Elena Woman Found Murdered in Home; Police Investigate

Neighbors and family members of Miriam Castellanos are clueless as to what may have led to her murder and who could have done it.  The 63-year-old woman was found leaning against a sofa with injuries to her neck and face. Videos of the horrific crime scene were leaked to our newsroom, but investigators are yet to make a determination as to what led to the homicide.  Castellanos’ body was found by her daughter at around one thirty yesterday afternoon when she returned from work.  Police responded to the scene in the Santa Cruz area of Santa Elena Town, Cayo District.  According to the daughter, 43-year-old, Donica Urbina, she last saw her mom on the night of Tuesday, November 19.  She has indicated that while her mom had no enemies she was living in fear as her ex-lover had recently been charged for an August 2024 murder.
