Journalist Assaulted by Police While Reporting on Drowning in Guanacaste National Park

Reporter LJay Wade was assaulted by police officers this evening as he attempted to gather information on the double drowning in the Guanacaste Park.  Love News understands that the officer slammed Wade into the Police mobile and threatened to arrest him if he does not delete the videos of the area from his camera.  Wade informed the officers that he knows his rights and that nothing prevents him from carrying out his duties as a journalist.  When Wade asked for their names and badge numbers, the officers reportedly uttered expletives and flicked him with their middle fingers.  Wade was subsequently released and chased from the area.  As it relates to the information on the drowning, our newsroom continues to gather information on the incident.
