Argument Turns Fatal as Woman Stabbed to Death in Progresso Village

Moving now to other news, a woman in the north was stabbed to death earlier today.  52-year-old, Rosita Olivera, a resident of the Progresso Village, Corozal District was socializing with her brother and sister-in-law when the two women got into a heated argument that turned fatal.  Love News understands that when the fight broke out, the brother attempted to diffuse the situation, but his efforts were in vain.  Our newsroom spoke with the village chairman, Hector Carlos who noted that fights were not uncommon in that family. 

From the investigative perspective, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hilberto Romero, explained that alcohol was involved, and that the suspect was detained at the scene of the murder.
