Authorities Investigate Guatemalan Yacht that Ran Aground Near Ray Caye

Authorities are investigating a yacht that ran aground yesterday near Ray Caye.  Love News understands that it was a Guatemalan luxury yacht with five persons onboard.  The Belize Coast Guard was called out to the area in the south and learned that the vessel was in Belize for recreational purposes.  Interestingly, it was also found out that the persons aboard did not check in with immigration or any other authority. Love News understands that the passengers were handed over to immigration officials at the Big Creek Port.  We further understand that no charges were levied against them.
