Belize Bar Association joins call for an end to Israel-Hamas War

The Belize Bar Association has publicly called for an end to the Israel-Hamas war. The Association issued a statement yesterday, condemning the violence in the Gaza Strip and calling for the human rights of the Palestinian people to be upheld. The Association called for, among several things, the quote “immediate, complete and unconditional cessation of bombing and a total ceasefire in Gaza and the facilitation of the establishment of a peaceful process for finally realizing lasting peace in Gaza and the West Bank in accordance with all principles of international law,” end of quote. The Bar is also calling for the United Nations to call for a cease fire and begin offering humanitarian assistance to those affected by the war.
