Belize Defense Force Soldier Arrested and Charged for Robbery

Police have arrested and charged a member of Belize’s armed forces for robbery. Over the weekend police arrested twenty-five-year-old Belize Defense Force Solider, Alexander Reynolds. According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero, Reynolds is charged with the November 22 robbery of truck driver Jorge Mancia which occurred at St. Matthew’s Village.

Sr.Supt Hilberto Romero, Regional Commander, Eastern Division: “An investigation was carried out which led to the arrest of Alexander Reynolds, 25 year old BDF soldier, for the crime of robbery. This is a robbery that happened where a truck driver was held up and some monies stolen. Several statements were recorded, interviews conducted and evidence was obtained that led to the charge of Alexander Reynolds.”

Police are still looking for the other suspects.
