After months of back and forth and misinterpretations into the current divide within the United Democratic Party, the Belize High Court is granting the requested urgency for a hearing. Love News understands that a letter was sent out from the Office of Justice Tawanda Hondora indicating to Moses Shyne Barrow and Tracy Panton to agree on a date for the hearing. The hearing, as we understand it, will deal with the application for contempt which was filed against Panton, as well as several other court orders that were requested. Included in those orders are to have the Panton faction cease and desist from using the title, Interim Party Leader; to refrain from using the UDP logo in order to not mislead the public and voters. As indicated, an affidavit of urgency was attached to the application to the court which has now been granted. The court’s hearing is expected to grant clarity on the matter as the general elections draw near. It is now up to the two factions to agree on a date and submit such to the court. We are following the developments of this matter.
