Belize Takes Part in Regional Meeting to Boost Support for MSMEs, With Focus on Women Entrepreneurs

Belize is improving its regional network and collaboration aimed at providing support for micro, small and medium enterprises in the country.  Significant progress was made recently as Belize attended and chaired the Extraordinary Board Meeting of the Regional MSME Promotion Center (CENPROMYPE).  The meeting was held in El Salvador last week, and according to Dr Leroy Almendarez of Beltraide, there is a lot of focus being placed in the region on women entrepreneurs.

Dr Almendarez further explained that the SICA meeting goes well beyond Belize’s Pro-tempore Presidency.  It has to do with bringing more opportunites for MSMEs in Belize.
