The Belize youth Movement, the youth arm of the People’s United Party is revitalizing its Dangriga chapter. Last night the BYM held a meeting, gathering youths from the municipality and nearby villages at the Town Hall, to speak about national issues affecting youth. Marissa Cervantes, National President of the BYM, says that the organization is aiming to increase youth involvement in major areas of development such as politics, to effect greater social change.

Cervantes says a major aim of the BYM is to give young people an opportunity to travel outside of the country and become exposed so they can bring back fresh ideas for the betterment of Belize.
