Earlier today a 50-year-old business owner Tamara Pinto reported a case of theft. Mint claims that she purchased a 2016 black Nissan Rogue in August 2023 with the intent to sell it whereby she proceeded to entrust her friend Amado Badillo with the sale of the vehicle at Prestige Auto Sale for $35,000. In January 2024, the vehicle was successfully sold to a male buyer for the agreed sum however, almost a year later and Minto claims that she has yet to receive a payment from Badillo. Despite repeated requests, Badillo has allegedly offered multiple excuses for the delay. Badillo responded via Facebook to these posts stating that earlier this year he lost his business overdraft because of being politically victimized. This made him incapable of providing his paperwork to his bank, which was required for them to renew his overdraft. He claims to have lost his overdraft, and it left him owing several individuals for the vehicles sold to them. Badillo goes on to say that he has been in communication with the persons affected and is working on getting the issue sorted out. He claims that, quote, “Today’s media release is not a news story”. End of quote.
