Weeks ago, we reported on the phishing issue that was reported at Heritage Bank in Belize. It was a situation that caused the bank to face public scrutiny, and in the case of one businessman, he made the decision to close his bank account. While there have been no reports of similar cases in the ensuing weeks, both Heritage Bank and the Central Bank of Belize have committed to continuing heavy surveillance to avoid these issues.
