Christa Salam Represents Belize at Summit for First Ladies and Gentlemen in Ukraine

Christa Salam from Jacintoville, Toledo is representing Belize at the 4th Summit for First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv, Ukraine. The main theme and first panel looked at child safety in armed conflicts, an issue of critical importance, not only for Ukraine but for the entire world. The second panel will address family safety, specifically protection from physical and psychological violence, while the third will focus on safety in education. The fourth panel of the Summit will discuss children’s safety in cyberspace. There will also be a separate session dedicated to environmental safety. We understand that Salam is the only Belizean represented at the conference and we will be following up on her experience in tomorrow’s newscast.
