After months upgrade work the Constitution Park in Belize City was officially inaugurated today. The park now has new benches, concrete pathways, play areas for children, and a stage. The park restoration project was a collaborative effort between the Belize City Council and the Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations. Mayor Bernard Wagner said that upgrades to the parks around the city extend beyond infrastructure work to creating family-friendly spaces.

Minister of Tourism Anthony Mahler said that he is proud to see good things happen in Belize City and challenged the residents to take care of the newly renovated park.

Mahler added that his ministry will be collaborating with the city council on several other projects in the coming months.
