Convicted killer Hildebrandt Codd remains on the run some five months after escaping from police. Last year, Codd was found guilty in absentia of carrying out a gruesome murder in November 2018. The victim, 32-year-old Densmore Bowman, was tortured, had his toes chopped off because he tried to run away from his killer, and subsequently had his head cut off. Codd’s murder trial concluded in December 2023, and he was found guilty of the heinous crime. Since then, he has been on the run, and the authorities have listed him as a wanted man. Today, when we contacted Commissioner of Police Chester Williams for an update on Codd, he wasn’t willing to talk about the fugitive. However, back in February, Williams stated that Codd may have jumped the border and left Belize.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police: “We have still not been able to locate Hildebrandt Codd. We continue to look for him and we hope that we can find him but at this time we have not been able to.”
Reporter: Do you believe he’s still in the country ?
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police: “I got some information this morning that he may have fled the country I’m not sure but we still believe that he may be in the country.”
Codd is considered dangerous, and anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the police.
