Accused Punta Artist, Huston Alvarez Jr, better known as Hubee, issued a public apology following an incident that occurred on Thursday September 26, involving his girlfriend at his residence in Dangriga Town. Yesterday, Alvarez was arraigned at the Dangriga Magistrate’s court where he pleaded not guilty and was offered a three-thousand-dollar bail. Alvarez expressed regret for his actions and acknowledged the widespread attention that the domestic situation has garnered. Alvarez went on to offer a public apology to his common-law partner taking full accountability for what he described as “acting out of character”. He emphasized that the incident does not reflect who he is as a person and reiterated his condemnation of violence stating quote “I apologize to all women who have been fans and supporters of my career. I condemn any form of violence against women, men and children.” End of quote. Despite his lengthy apology, many have found it disingenuous and insincere due to the contradiction in his not guilty plea and the expression of regret. We will have more on this story in our evening news.
