An elderly man was injured in a bus collision this morning in southern Belize. The incident occurred just before ten o’clock this morning near the mile 6 marker on the Hummingbird Highway in the vicinity of the Southern Highway turnoff. Love News understands that the incident involved a Polanco bus and a 2010 Toyota Tundra. Police responded to the area, and found the bus in the middle of the highway with visible damages, including a broken front windshield, dented left bumper, and damage to the left front light and rear view mirror. The red Toyota Tundra was found on the right side of the road, displaying damages to both passenger and driver doors, a broken left rear view mirror, and a shattered back windshield. None of the bus passengers sustained injuries but the seventy-year-old driver of the Toyota Tundra Evan Innis Roller Hall, a resident of Placencia Village, sustained abrasions to his left shoulder. Hall has since been transported to the Southern Regional Hospital via ambulance.
