Fake Lands Officer Scams Dozens Out of $250,000

Tonight there are reports reaching our newsroom of a case where one woman was able to dupe dozens of persons posing as a lands officer.  We are unable to release the woman’s name as she is yet to be arraigned in court and Police would not confirm whether charges have been levied.  We can tell you, however, that the woman is known to the cops as she has been entangled in criminal matters before.  Best information tonight is that she had managed to collect an estimated quarter of a million dollars in her fraudulent scheme.  Love News understands that the Belize City woman was to be taken to court today, but she reportedly fainted in the cell block and had to be taken to the hospital.  This has delayed the court proceedings to next week.  We will keep following this story.
