
Family of Baby Amari and Delmar Rodriguez Calls for Urgent Meeting with Minister of Home Affairs

The family of Baby Amari and Delmar Rodriguez is asking for an urgent audience with the Minister of Home Affairs, Kareem Musa. In a statement sent to our newsroom today, the family expressed their plan to work with the investigating officers, and to present the evidence they have gathered, to assist in convicting the killers. Additionally, the statement noted that they have been doing their own investigation into the accused killers, and have found information on their, “affiliates, their level of capability, accessibility to illegal firearms, cash from drug proceeds and most importantly, their deep connections with rogue police officers on and off the island.” End of quote. In the released document, the family is also making an appeal to the public, condemning any form of retaliation and supporting the justice system to run its course. The statement further reads, quote, “For justice to be served, those who know anything must come forward to the police. In addition, our families are willing to cooperate with authorities to provide solid evidence that will assist police in the investigation. And to do so, we MUST DEMAND the safety of those that are prepared to come forward to assist police. Our family wants an urgent meeting with the Hon. Kareem Musa and his CEO, to put forward our concerns as it related to the unfortunate and senseless killings and the way the investigation is being handled.” End of quote. Love News understands that the family has a scheduled meeting with the Police Commissioner later this week.
