Fight at Nightclub Leads to Partial Earlobe Amputation

A resident of Orange Walk Town lost a portion of his ear over the weekend during a fight at a nightclub. According to police, 25-year-old Zamir Vasquez was going to the bathroom at the D Gym Nightclub on Sunday morning when two men, one of whom he recognized, approached him. Vasquez says he asked the men to move aside so he could pass by, but they refused and became aggressive. A group of persons then attacked Vasquez, and during the fight, one of the men bit off a portion of his earlobe. Vasquez managed to escape and ran to the club’s kitchen for safety. Police have labeled the injured as maim, and their investigations continue.
