Former Guantanamo Detainee Majid Khan Opens Up About Life in Belize and Entrepreneurial Pursuits

After being released from Guantanamo Bay Prison, Majid Khan is speaking out on his reinsertion into society, his life in Belize, and the challenges he faces as he works at establishing his own business. News Director, Renee Trujillo, was able to talk at length with Khan as he was selling plant pots and vases out at the Agriculture and Trade Show.  Here is that story.

Khan is on his way to becoming a nationalized Belizean but he has not been granted travel documents.  He was provided with a home, transportation, and a monthly stipend by the United States.  Khan was also featured in today’s edition of the New York Times.
