From Gang Affiliate to Inmate: Doris Grant and Partner Arraigned and Denied Bail in Belize City Court

Tonight, 48-year-old, Doris Grant has gone from being a gang affiliate to a land scammer, a victim of attempted murder to an inmate at the Belize Central Prison.  Today, Grant appeared in court along with her partner, 31-year-old Austin Underwood.  The couple was arraigned on a single count of gang affiliation, particularly with the South Side Gang (SSG). They pleaded not guilty, were denied bail and transported to the Belize Central Prison.  The couple had obtained the services of Attorney Ronell Gonzalez.  Both Grant and Underwood have been in the news cycle recently as Grant was charged in May with 14 counts of theft; 14 counts of obtaining property by deception and 12 counts of obtaining money transfer by deception.
