Health Minister comments on Contraband Meds

Earlier this week, Love News broke the story of the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of contraband medications that were confiscated by customs officials. Customs officials intercepted a white Chevrolet Silverado on the San Antonio Road and found German Antonio Lobos and Maribel De Leon transporting about 25 boxes of contraband medications. The medication is valued at a little over three hundred and twenty thousand dollars. Health and Wellness Minister Kevin Bernard was asked about it today.

Kevin Bernard, Minister of Health and Wellness: “I can tell you this when I got wind of that information through a phone call by the way my response was simply take the matter to the full extent of the law. We cannot allow – we’ve been hearing these things for years that has been happening but we cannot allow people to get away I don’t care who they are. I don’t care which political party they’re assigned to or favors that is health you’re talking about. You’re talking about people’s life  because you cannot allow medication to come to this country without being inspected properly. That has never been approved, they did not get a permit, so they did it illegally then you pay for your actions.”
