A businessman of the Lake Independence area is the latest victim of an online scam.  The 42-year-old resident reported to Police that he had paid four hundred and forty dollars for two Redmi-brand cell phones.  He came across the items on Belize Buy and Sell on the Facebook platform, and later deposited the money into an Atlantic Bank account belonging to one Andre Nicholson.  Love News understands that the deposit was made on Friday, October 25 but the phones were never delivered.  We further understand that the seller has since deactivated the cell number, 629-0534 as well as his social media account.  Police have classified the matter as obtaining property by deception and are in search of Nicholson.
