Man Remanded for Alleged Stabbing in Belize City – Court Appearance Set for February 2024

Twenty-two-year-old Cassius Myers is on remand at the Belize Central Prison after allegedly stabbing a man. Myers appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today, charged with one count each of attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm. No plea was taken from him due to the nature of his offense and bail was denied in the first instance. He is due back in court on February 9, 2024. Myers is accused of stabbing Maleek Pitts on December 17. Pitts reportedly attempted to part an altercation between Myers and 18-year-old, Heidy Balona, when he ended up being stabbed as a result.
