Honduran National Faces Deportation After Guilty Plea for Failure to Present to Immigration Officer

A Honduran national who was working as a waitress is behind bars pending deportation. Twenty-five-year-old Kirian Menjivar appeared in court today, charged with a single count of failure to present herself to an Immigration Officer at the place of arrival. She pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined a thousand dollars, which he was ordered to pay forthwith or spend three months in prison.
