National Sports Council Launches Fundraising Sports App with Telethon Event

The National Sports Council has officially launched its new sports app which will be used to solicit funds to help develop sports in Belize. The app was launched with a telethon at Love Studios this morning, where various athletic associations and federations spoke about the work they are doing in their respective disciplines. Minister of Sports Rodwell Ferguson gave a breakdown of the app’s features and how the funds sourced from the app will be used.

The official total raised by the telethon will be announced on Friday.
