Police Capture Fugitive Sheldon Flores After Elderly Aunt Took Fall for Drug Trafficking Charges

Police have caught up with 40-year-old, Sheldon Flores, who was being sought for charges of drug trafficking. Flores is the man who left his elderly aunt who is confined to a wheelchair to take the rap for drugs found inside his bedroom. On Saturday, September 26, Police conducted a search of Flores’ home that he shares with his paraplegic aunt in the Belama Phase 3 area. The search yielded over eight and a half kilograms of marijuana, over forty-four grams of methamphetamine, and over two and a half grams of cocaine. Police also found fifteen hundred dollars in cash believed to be the proceeds of crime. The woman was taken to the police station where she was charged for drug trafficking while Police searched for Flores. He was eventually caught and was taken to court yesterday where he pled not guilty to one count of possession of controlled drugs and three counts of possession of controlled drugs with the intent to supply to another. He had no legal representation and the prosecution did not object to bail. The court granted him bail of five thousand dollars plus two sureties of twenty-five hundred dollars each. He is due back in court on November 27.
