Police Detain Two Suspects in the Murder of Belize City Resident Mark Francisco

Police have detained two men for Sunday’s murder of 51-year-old, Mark Francisco. The Belize City resident was shot and killed on Yarborough Road as he prepared for a fishing trip. Francisco had been targeted by men inside an SUV, who arrived and opened fire on him. His murder had left his family searching for answers because Francisco had no enemies and was not a troublemaker. Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, provided an update on his murder today and said Fransico may have been gunned down for no apparent reason.

The suspects are known to the police.
