Rural Water Restoration Project Underway

The Ministry of Rural Transformation and Community Development is working to ensure rural communities have access to clean potable water year-round. The ministry says the importance of potable drinking water can’t be over-emphasized, as it hinges on personal hygiene, nutrition, and public health. In recent months, the ministry has been working to restore and upgrade water systems in several remote villages, which it says were neglected under the past administration. The ministry’s Chief Executive Officer, Valentino Shal, underscored the significance of the water restoration project.

The ministry recently overhauled water systems in San Jose, Toledo District, and Armenia Village, Cayo District.
