Vincent Scott, the Santa Cruz Chairman who has been accused of aggressing his estranged common-law wife, Dalia Cabral has been charged. The 49-year-old Chairman was presented with a charge sheet earlier today at the Independence Police Station and is expected to be arraigned in court tomorrow. It took some seven days to arrest and charge Scott with aggravated assault. When we spoke with Cabral last week, she told Love News that she had sought the intervention of the Police Commissioner to get her case validated. The backstory to the case is that on Monday, November 4, Scott had gotten upset when he found that Cabral had a male friend visiting her. Hours later he returned to Cabral’s house and pulled a gun on her. The two have been separated for two years now and are reportedly in a custody battle for the children they share.
