Some sports facilities in Belize City were damaged by Hurricane Lisa in November last year. Repairs on the facilities are still being done as explained by Minister of Sports, Rodwell Ferguson.

Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Transport: “We have started the work on the Marion Jones Stadium. We have purchased all the material for the roof already so hopefully as the budget reopens we’ll continue with Marion Jones. We have $150,000 sitting down for MCC we are working with UNDP to give us a blueprint, once we get a blueprint we’re going to proceed with MCC.”
