Still no replacement for the LIU’s William Dawson

It has been two and a half months since the passing of William Dawson, Chairman of the Leadership Intervention Unit (LIU). Since then the unit remains functional, but it turns out that the proverbial shoes were really big. In speaking with Minister of Home Affairs, Kareem Musa, our newsroom received an update on how things have been moving along.

Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries: “It’s difficult you know. We have been working, the LIU has been working in the aftermath of the loss of Mr.Dawson still putting together the pieces, we still have the commitment of course from the Commissioner of Police and Deputy Rosado and for the most part we’ve been able to keep the peace in Belize City. But definitely finding the right pieces for the puzzle that’s a tough task when you have such larger the life personalities like Mr.Dawson and like Mr.Yearwood who by the way they were very good friends as well and so it’s a massive loss for us in the department having had to lose both of them in the span of three months.”

There is more to share with you from the Leadership Intervention Unit, later in this newscast.
