U.S. Donates Administrative Building to Belize Defence Force in Corozal

The Belize Defence Force (BDF) has a new building in northern Belize thanks to the United States Government. Yesterday, US Ambassador Michele Kwan handed over a newlyconstructed administrative building to the BDF’s Corozal formation. According to the government, the donation is a significant milestone towards the BDF’s growth and progress and stands as a symbol of its commitment to excellence, efficiency, and innovation. GOB says the multipurpose building was designed purposely for the BDF and is a cornerstone in ensuring operational readiness, strategic flexibility, and efficient resource utilization. It will be used as a centralized hub for diverse functions crucial to military operations, encompassing training facilities, command centers, logistical support areas, and adaptable spaces for various training and exercises. Minister of National Defence and Border Security Florencio Marin Jr, his Minister of State and National Defence Oscar Mira, and Brigadier General Asariel Loria received the donation on the BDF’s behalf.
